PORT Shepstone Senior Primary recently received a welcome donation of 30 science encyclopaedias from Ash Sooklal, one of the parents. Mr Sooklal is sincerely thanked for this kind donation, which will help to improve the media centre, assist pupils with research and will be of great value to the school.
Work has started in earnest and all new pupils have adjusted well. The recent grades 6 and 7 parent meetings were well attended and parents are thanked for their ongoing support. A special assembly was held last Friday to introduce the new 2014 monitors and a total of 44 monitors were inducted.

The school’s extramural programme is also in full swing, with junior and senior cricket fixtures scheduled against Izotsha Primary this week. Parents are reminded that the extramural programme runs daily from Monday to Thursday between 2 and 3pm. On days where there are fixtures, pupils are advised in advance of pick-up times via their coaches.
Parents are reminded that swimming forms part of life skills this term and that taking part is compulsory. Pupils are to ensure that they have the correct swimming attire.
