Marc is at the head of the Table
Port Shepstone Round Table inducted its new president at a black tie dinner last Friday.
THERE was a festive atmosphere at Port Shepstone Country Club, the venue for the Port Shepstone Round Table’s annual induction dinner. Members witnessed the chain being handed over to Marc Powell.
It was also a time to reflect on the many milestones the Tablers had achieved during the past year.
Marc said that the theme and aim for the 2014 Tabling year was to forge and establish new relationships with the community.
“Through these relationships I fully believe that we as a Table will achieve all that is planned and expected of us as an integral part of this South Coast community. We need to embrace the current relationship we have with our 41ers, nurture it and work at taking it to the next level. We have many young, new and old Tablers who would benefit hugely from the mountain of knowledge and experience that these fine gentlemen have to offer,” he said.
He encouraged his fellow members of this great organisation to respect and value the different people around them. “Every member has unique attributes, which forms the platform for this great Table. This will ensure that we retain strong, motivated members who, in turn, are entrusted in taking us forward and driving this fantastic organisation,” concluded Marc.
Once the formalities were out of the way members and their guests enjoyed an evening of camaraderie.
