Margate Primary competes well

Izwile Dlamini qualified for two events at the provincial championships to be held in Durban.

IN THE U11 cricket match against Izotsha Primary last week, Izotsha batted first and scored 64 runs with Margate taking seven wickets. Margate then batted and passed Izotsha’s score in ten overs, without losing a wicket. Well done to Aphiwe Tobo, who scored 35 runs, as well as to Sizo Jala 25, who took three wickets for ten runs.

At the third round of the district athletics championships held at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre last week, the selected three athletes competed well. Izwile Dlamini qualified for both the 150m and 100m events at the provincial championships to be held in Durban on March 7.

A cake sale held on Valentine’s Day, was a ‘civvies day’ and proved to be great fun for all.
