Southcity pupils are good speakers

Southcity's swimming team came fourth, with only 10 points separating second and fourth position.

THERE are 24 members of the 2014 debating team and it is headed by captain Zenande Dlamini. On the first weekend of February, 11 pupils took part in a debating workshop at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. On February 11, the debating team attended a workshop at PSHS, where Southcity’s Zenande Dlamini did a presentation for the adjudicators. Last Tuesday, Southcity hosted a debate with Hoërskool Suid-Natal and PSHS. The Southcity senior A and B teams both lost their debates, but the junior team won and Lungelo Motshoiki was elected the best speaker of the day.

Last Wednesday, the Southcity Christian Schools’ swimmers took part in a gala at Kloof High. Southcity came fourth, with only 10 points separating second and fourth positions. On Thursday, the U14 and U15 cricket teams travelled to play against Hillcrest’s U14A and U15A teams, narrowly losing both matches.
