Get snipped, reduce risk

The circumcision will be performed by trained health care professionals.

THE Port Shepstone Regional Hospital continues to work towards the promotion of male medical circumcision as a means to reduce the risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections.

“We are inviting men from the age of 14 years and older to come for free circumcision,” said hospital spokesman Phumza Morai.

She added that the procedure would be performed by trained health care professionals.

Those between the age of 14 and 17 would need a parent or guardian to sign a consent form before the procedure is done.

Circumcision will take place at the outpatients’ department this Saturday from 8am.
