Action honour for Southern KZN cricketing trio
The chirps and good-hearted banter all formed part of it.
Three Southern KZN Dolphins Over 35 age group action cricket players have been named in South African training squads for the over 40s and 45s.
They are Ashley Lombard, Dale Potgieter and Barry Carlsson.
This comes after the recent Over 35s IPT held at the South Coast Action Arena in Shelly Beach.
The team was disappointed with their results, where they won two, lost five and drew one.
However, two of those losses were close and with some better fielding, the result could have been different and a shot at the bronze final woul
d have been within reach.
But all is not lost as in many ways this was a learning year, with a number of other IPTS due to be held locally in October. So, there’s a lot to look forward to.
Aside from Ashley, Dale and Barry, the team comprised David Pienaar, Mitchell Blewitt, Justin Vermeulen, Garreth Bishop, Quintin Janse van Rensburg and Shaheen Seethal.
