PORT Shepstone police searched a minibus taxi in Marburg on Wednesday this week and found the highly addictive drugs inside the vehicle.
“Warrant Officer Patrick Gosling, Constable Travis Dickens and Cst Raphael Smithwick acted on information and the driver (41) was arrested,” said police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
The driver will face charges of possession of heroin. According to police, heroin sells for about R35 per straw on the street.
Earlier, the same police officers arrested a 29-year-old man for being in possession of five mandrax tablets and three straws of heroin at the Port Shepstone taxi rank.
