Videos: Thousands march in support of Zuma

There was a visible police presence at the gathering.

A LARGE police contingent has been deployed to monitor the big ‘Support Zuma’ march in Port Shepstone.  Mkhonto Wesizwe members, along with the ANC, SACP and SANCO, have gathered at the Port Shepstone Civic Centre.

They will be protesting  the criticism of Jacob Zuma by marching from the Port Shepstone Civic Centre to the Marburg Sports Complex.

Police vans and Nyalas, and SAPS and Hibiscus Coast Protection Services personnel were stationed at Reynolds Street. A helicopter also kept a close watch on proceedings.

The protest was planned by the soldiers of Mkhonto Wesizwe, this after calls for Zuma to step down as president came from other parties.
