THE BODY of a child (6), was retrieved from the Mfazazana river in Hibberdene by members of Port Shepstone K9 Search and Rescue and police divers last Wednesday. Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said the child disappeared after playing with friends in the water. Warrant Officer Francois Pretorius, Sergeant Rommel da Rosa, Constable Joseph Cele and Constable Ronald Cwele, were called to help search for the missing child at 7pm, and retrieved the body from the water two and a half hours later. Police have opened an inquest docket, and are investigating.
