Crime crackdown in Tweni

Tweni residents thank the SAPS and Protection Services for their sterling efforts.

BREAK-INS in Umtentweni numbered 12 in January, 14 in February and dropped to just four in  March, thanks to the police arresting the person responsible for this  crime wave.

Some 20 beachfront shacks have been taken down by Protection Services and a visit to St George’s Park at the northern end of Commercial Road near Tweni Close revealed another cluster of shacks, carefully hidden. This is the area where a young girl was raped several months ago.

Tweni residents thank the SAPS and Protection Services for their sterling efforts.
