WHAT would Easter be without a delightful hunt for delicious chocolate eggs?
There will be an Easter egg hunt at the Rotary Uvongo flea market this Saturday, April 19 from 9am to about midday. Bring mom and dad along and they can browse for bargains and odds and ends at the craft and flea market, while you have lots of fun finding the eggs.
The whole family is invited to an Easter egg hunt at The Pont in Port Edward this Sunday, April 20. There will be various stops for the children to enjoy, marked on their map. Firstly, children can have a photograph taken with the Easter bunny, while parents register them at 11am.
At stop two on the map, children will enter the colouring in zone and then at stop number three, they will collect their Easter egg baskets. At number four, there will be a jumping castle and refreshments, followed by the Easter egg hunt starting at 12.30pm.
All proceeds raised will be donated to Child Welfare Port Shepstone. For more information contact event organiser Stacey Upfold from Ultimate Events at 0741883272 or staceyupfold@yahoo.com.
All children are invited to take part in an Easter egg hunt at a private residence in Southport on Saturday, April 19 from 9am to 4pm.
The egg hunt fund-raiser will be in aid of Monkey Helpline, a non-profit organisation that relies heavily on the support of the community to rescue and rehabilitate monkeys, and educate the public on these little mammals.
“The other reason I am doing this, is that I feel that our children need to know more on how to deal with monkeys, say for instance, when they come into our homes,” said Amanda de Villiers.
The egg hunt will be held in two age groups, three to seven, and eight to 13.
The day will consist of a jumping castle, face painting, professional photographs, colouring in competition, egg painting competition, games, demonstrations, and of course, a monkey talk.
Entry fee is R10. Contact Amanda at 082 6992475.
