TWO men in their twenties appeared in the Ramsgate court for the possession of suspected stolen property and heroin.
They were arrested after Warrant Officer Patrick Gosling and his team from Public Order Policing (POP) received information about the stolen property and drugs.
Margate police spokesman Captain Gerald Mfeka said W/O Gosling, Constable Travis Dickens, Cst Joseph Cele and Sergeant Mbuso Ndlovu went to the house in 5th Street, Port Edward, last Thursday.
The two suspects were questioned and the house searched. The officers found two television sets and drugs to the value of R22 000 in the house.
Vincent Mbewana (20) and Phumelele Aubrey Sekeleni (21) were arrested. Both men appeared in court on Tuesday this week. The case was postponed.
A week ago the team arrested and charged a woman from the Sanathan informal settlement in Umzinto for being in unlawful possession of dagga.
Police spokesman Captain Vincent Pandarum said Nonhle Shezi (39) paid an admission of guilt fine of R300.
The team also arrested three suspects who were wanted in connection with a theft which took place in Watterson Street in Marburg recently.
