DRAMA unfolded a short while ago at the Southcoast Mall when the driver of a stolen vehicle was tracked down and arrested in the mall’s parking lot.
Police embarked on a high-speed chase after they received a report from a tracking company that a stolen vehicle had been spotted on the R102, travelling towards Shelly Beach.
Police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid, said the vehicle was allegedly stolen from Newlands West earlier this morning.
“The bakkie continued towards the South Coast area, and its signal was picked up by the tracking company’s helicopter,” she said.
The vehicle drove to the Southcoast Mall’s parking area where the driver and his passenger were cornered and arrested by police. For more pics, visit our gallery.
