SENZO Jali (20) and Mafanfikile Mtanza (18) charged with the murder of Warrant Officer Goodson Stanley Mbhele (47) appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
The case was postponed to May 30 for bail application.
Proceedings took an interesting twist when charges against Mtanza were withdrawn. He will act as a state witness to testify against Jali.
W\O Mbhele was stabbed to death after a fight broke out at a tavern in Nositha. Jali and Mtanza were arrested by police in Margate shortly after the incident.
W\O Mbhele was stationed at Margate police station and celebrated 20 years of service in April.
