FRANK Nabolisa (46), the co-accused of convicted South Coast drug dealer Sheryl Cwele, will spend another 20 years in jail.
Nabolisa, who has now been found guilty of other drug-related crimes, and Cwele are currently serving 12-year jail sentences at Westville Prison.
According to media reports, Nabolisa was charged in 2009 for dealing in dangerous, dependence-producing drugs and for contravening the Medicines and Related Substance Act, 1965. Hawks spokesman Paul Ramaloko is quoted as saying he had been found in possession of 2,4kg of cocaine, 5,8kg of paracetamol and 2,7kg of Hexamine. Nabolisa was sentenced in Wynberg Regional Court in Gauteng this week.
He received a jail sentence of 20 years for drug dealing and another jail sentence of 10 years for contravening the act. While he will serve these sentences concurrently, he will only start serving them after he has completed his current sentence. There is another case, involving the manufacturing of drugs in Westonaria, that is still pending against him.
Nabolisa and Cwele, the former Hibiscus Coast health director, were found guilty of dealing in cocaine in 2011. The pair recruited South Coast drug mule Tessa Beetge, who was found with 10,2kg of cocaine in her luggage and who has just completed her prison sentence in a jail in Brazil.
