Catholic women raise funds for the sick

The funds raised will go towards those affected by Aids.

IT was a delightful afternoon filled with soulful cups of tea, entertainment, good friends and fashion.

The Margate Catholic Church Aids Care Committee hosted a charity event to raise funds to give 1800 meals to HIV/Aids affected children and adults every month. The money raised will go towards the project.

Each committee member hosted 10 people per table, and the women were encouraged to giggle, gabble and gobble all afternoon. Everyone dressed smartly and was asked to show finesse.

Models from Lee Models presented pretty clothing and jewellery, and Mari Webster and Sue Neilson entertained the guests with their angelic voices and musical instruments. For more photos, take a look at our gallery.
