Wanted housebreaker arrested in Scottburgh

Investigations to link the suspect to other cases are ongoing.

A lengthy investigation and ongoing intelligence gathering led to the arrest of a housebreaking suspect in Scottburgh.

Gladiator Security Services Operations Unit, together with Scottburgh Saps detectives traced the suspect to an address in the Malangeni area on May 29 at about 14:00.

The team conducted a well coordinated operation at the property and successfully made an arrest.

The suspect is now being linked to multiple housebreaking cases targeting properties in the Scottburgh central area.

Gladiator reminds the public the importance of opening cases with police after a crime has been committed.

The team also explained that reporting incidents and registering cases with Saps plays a critical role in ensuring that suspects can be prosecuted and convicted.

Opening a case creates the foundation and evidence trail needed for investigations and helps ensure that offenders receive appropriate and lengthy sentences on conviction.

Lastly, Gladiator thanks the community for its continued support and cooperation in keeping the area safe.
