Biker seriously injured in accident

A BIKER is in a critical condition after his bike collided with a car along Marine Drive in Margate last Sunday at 3pm.

The driver of the vehicle luckily escaped with minor injuries.

Chris Botha, Netcare 911 spokesman, said paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway severely obstructed with accident debris and the crumpled remains of the vehicle and bike.

“The rider was found lying on the road while the person from the car was walking at the side of the roadway,” he said.

The injured were transported to hospital.
