South Coast Tablers go national
The Natal South Coast area of Round Table has gone from strength to strength.
PORT Shepstone 83’s very own Leon ‘Jedi’ Garbade was elected as president of the Round Table Southern Africa at the recent national AGM and president’s banquet held in East London.
Leon was the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast area chairman in 2012/2013 and has continued as an incredibly dedicated member of RTSA. His executive committee, with the emphasis on fun and family, set plans in motion that will make RTSA an even more relevant association in today’s times.
After a very successful year and distributing more than R20 million to various deserving organisations, André Krugel of Amanzimtoti 85 handed the presidential chain of office over to Leon.
The last three years has seen South Coast tablers holding national portfolios and the current RTSA national executive is proudly complemented by Margate 46, Sheppie 83 and Amanzimtoti 85 Round Tablers.
These national portfolios require representation of the association in just about every province in South Africa, as well as internationally, including Namibia, Germany, Estonia, Seychelles, Mauritius, Zambia and England. The spirit of developing international relations is always with the hope of reciprocation from Round Tablers abroad.
Good luck to making a difference, Leon ‘Jedi’ and the rest of the South Coasters!
