OSLO Beach residents are still without water, as of lunchtime today (Friday). Residents of the town, as well as those in Marburg, had their water supply cut at about 5.30am.
Water supply in certain parts of Marburg, for example near the sports grounds, was apparently restored at around noon, but the town of Oslo Beach is still ‘thirsty’, with house wives and domestic workers hindered in their efforts to do their washing and other regular household chores.
Ugu workers are working hard to complete repairs. “A pipe broke near Merlewood during the early hours of this morning. This pipe has been replaced but water supply will only be restored at around 5pm today,” said Ugu spokesman Sipho Khuzwayo.
