Local beauty a finalist in Mrs SA

Lindela sets her sights on the pageant's crown.

LINDELA Mzobe, a mother and wife, formerly from Mzamba  near the Wild Coast Sun, has been nominated as a finalist in the  Mrs South Africa pageant.

The beauty is a familiar face on the coast, having worked at the Wild Coast Sun, at Pam Golding Properties and at Build it hardware in Port Edward, before moving to Midrand, Johannesburg.

She has been selected as one of the 24 finalists and has set her sights on the  title. The winner will be crowned at a grand finale at Emperor’s Palace on August 8.

Lindela used to take part in beauty pageants during her school days and dreams of having her own foundation. “Being Mrs SA would facilitate my plans to help empower young girls in my home town in the Eastern Cape,” she said.

She has collected toys and children’s clothing for Botshabelo Babies’ Home, a generous donation that has kept the home going. She has also approached a few stores to sponsor baby formula, nappies and baby products for the home.
