Come fly with me…and it’s free

Be prepared for a world class line-up at Margate Aiport this Saturday.

THE final countdown  for the Margate leg of the KZN Winter Air Tour has begun.

This Saturday (June 14) the popular Yak Attack will fly from Virginia to Margate Airport to amaze audiences in its five-up formation.

The Cirrus SR22 will dazzle crowds with its unbelievable aerobatic low flying performance and spectators will get to see a Boeing 737 in the skies.  Organisers are even trying to secure a Trojan T28 for the weekend.

The exciting world-class line-up will include parachute drops, fly-bys and an array of aircraft from the super-fast Impala jet to the spinning Good Year Eagles.

Be sure to get to Margate Airport this weekend with your chairs and picnic blankets ready to mark your spot for an action-packed day of high flying performances.

Entrance to the show is free and there will be a variety of things to do and buy.

Cash-only exhibitors are getting ready for the expected thousand-plus crowd, ensuring you have drinks, snacks and the children’s favourite aeroplane toys.

Gates open at 9am and the opening parade will start around 10am.

The sky will be alive with action from 10.30am to 4pm, breaking for ground action at lunch, when visitors will get to walk around the aircraft, meet the pilots and get that all-important selfie with a jet plane.
