Folk music festival lots of fun

The lively music festival saw many picnicking under the trees.

LOVELY weather, jovial people and happy vibes made for a highly successful fourth annual Folk Music and Song Writers’ Festival on Youth Day on Monday this week.

There was no better way to celebrate Youth Day than by spending it with family and friends, soaking up the marvellous sounds of South African musos under the trees at the Melville Sanctuary of Love. Many enjoyed browsing around the art, craft and food stalls.

Visitors were treated to the headline acts such as Hairy Legged Lentil Eaters and the Hinds Brothers. All donations went towards the Rape Crisis Centre. For more photos, visit our gallery.
