Scottburgh rugby gives Collegians tough battle
The combination team is starting to click and play some entertaining rugby.
It was a case of close but yet so far for the Scottburgh Old Boys’ Rugby Club last weekend.
They travelled to Kings Park Stadium to face Durban Collegians in DRSU CF Glew 5th Division action and thoroughly enjoyed the fast-paced game, with both teams were equal to the task at hand.
The first half ended with the scores level at 14-14; it was truly a game where either team could win.
The second half was more intense, but the Collegians got the better of Scottburgh, scoring two unanswered tries to win the game 26-14.
Tough luck to the Scotties side, they did their best but just fell short.
The team has benefited from a twinning arrangement with the Gamalakhe Black Bulls Rugby Club, giving them depth and making them more competitive.
