Update: Police investigate divers’ death

POLICE are investigating the tragic diving accident involving Pete Timm (51) and Adele Stegen (45) who died at Umkomaas beach last week.

Police spokesman, Colonel Jay Naicker, said two inquest dockets had been opened at the Umkomaas Police Station. “A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death,” he added.

Tributes from around the world have poured in for the divers across all social media platforms.

According to the Triton Diving facebook page, a memorial service will be held in Sodwana on July 5 to celebrate Peter’s life. There will also be a memorial service at the Deo Doxa Church, 220 State Way, Welkom on June 28 at 11am. Contact Lilly at 072 0776110 for more information.
