Dlamini ready for new role

The new appointee holds a Bachelor of Technology in civil engineering.

RICHARD Dlamini has been appointed as the new head of department for human settlement and infrastructure by the Hibiscus Coast Municipality. He took up his duties today (October 1).

His appointment follows the departure of Simphiwe Nikelo.

The newly appointed HOD will head the following sections: road maintenance, facilities management, public works, human settlements, project finance, electrical services and institutional social development.

Mr Dlamini is a vastly qualified engineer and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Durban University of Technology (DUT).

“He is a well- respected professional who has worked extensively in the private sector, and we are confident that his experience will serve the municipality well,” said mayor Cynthia Mqwebu, addressing the media at a briefing held at the HCM chambers on Tuesday.

“The municipality congratulates Mr Dlamini on his appointment to the new position. We would also like to thank the Mr Nikelo for his diligent services displayed over the past five years and wish him well for the future,” she concluded.
