Rugby under way again
The local rugby players have high hopes for the season.
THE South Coast Warriors got their season going with a friendly practice match against Rovers at Douglas Mitchell last Saturday.
No one took the score too seriously and the emphasis was more on getting fit and focused.
The Warriors will be playing a friendly against Amanzimtoti at home this Saturday, with kick-off around 3pm.
New players wanting to join the Warriors are most welcome.

Officially, practices started on January 6 and coach Christo Henderson is looking forward to another good season.
“We hope to improve on a very successful year in 2014 and all the signs are there for us to do so,” he said.
The bad news is that the Warriors have lost 2014 Player of the Year, namely Kyle van Deventer, who has relocated to Durban.
However, there is good news. “We will be gaining a Wildebeest player and will name him at a later stage,” said Henderson. “Otherwise it looks like we have everyone back from last year.”
Dawie Snyman will be the U20 coach with the second and third team coaches to be announced soon.
The captains for the new season have not yet been announced. “For now it’s a little bit soon to say but we will probably go with experience, and with what worked for us last year,” he said.
The first team will be playing in the First Division, while the U20s are in the Premier Division.The Usher Cup kicks off on March 21, with the league starting on April 11, with the full fixtures still to be announced.
* Meanwhile, the club is looking forward to hosting the Nashua South Coast Sevens Cup on February 7.
Some 20 teams, some coming from as far afield as Phalaborwa and Ladysmith, will be taking part. The games will begin at 8am.
