A MOST successful High School Fair was held at the sports hall last Thursday evening and 15 high schools from the South Coast, Pietermaritzburg and Durban were represented. There was a jovial atmosphere in the hall as they all promoted their wares.
The U11A team played cricket against Southcity and won by 42 runs with Kellie Ashington scoring 22 runs and Bruce Borman 21. Kalan Springer and Kellie Ashington each took 3 wickets.
The intermediate and senior phase long distance and interhouse galas took place last week and the main gala began with the official opening of the newly extended 25m swimming pool. Lynda Adams managed the project and gave tirelessly of herself to ensure that this project came to fruition. The first gala was memorable with Leopard house winning for the first time since its inception.
Age group winners were Storme Dunford and Tayne Rudling (U10), Megan Adams and Kai Hielckert (U11), Keara Dunford and Joshua Parry (U12) and Ava-Mae Lilje and Bradley Gets (U13). Overall winners were Kai Hielckert (junior victor ludorum), Megan Adams (junior victrix ludorum), Joshua Parry (senior victor ludorum) and Ava-Mae Lilje (senior victrix ludorum).
