WELL done to Margate Primary cricket duo Josh Pillay and Asive Sobhuza, who received the ‘best bowling’ as well as the ‘best overall team’ awards at the recent ‘Double Wicket’ tournament. Gr 4 pupils are eager to return to their revamped classrooms, due to be completed by the end of this week.
Both the U11 and U13 boys played cricket against PSSP last week and the U11s won their match, but the U13s were not so lucky. Both matches were played at Margate and everyone had a good time.
Gr 5 pupils recently did a project on the vertebrate skeleton for natural science and technology, and the assortment of models completed was absolutely amazing. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed making skeletons from various materials, including an actual fish skeleton.
Last Wednesday was ‘World Read Aloud Day’ and Margate Primary celebrated this by reading the story ‘Sisanda’s Gift’.
