PORT Shepstone Primary’s gr 2 pupils went on an exciting excursion to the Beaver Creek Coffee Farm in Port Edward last week. Pupils went on a walk through the coffee plantation where they saw the actual beans that coffee is made from. They also had the opportunity of seeing how coffee beans are processed and afterwards, everyone was treated to a steaming cup of coffee.
Pupils had a special lesson on the solar system presented by ‘Edudome’. Pupils learned about the universe through a visual presentation inside a giant dome constructed on the school grounds. This information will be helpful for pupils when they study the solar system as part of the natural sciences curriculum.
