CONGRATULATIONS to Smilo Zulu on being selected to represent the Southern Natal Cricket Union at the KZN U11 Cricket Festival, scheduled to take place at Cato Manor from March 13 to15. Smilo also received the best bowler award at the U11 double wicket tournament held at Suid-Natal recently.
The swimming team took part in the Ugu District swimming championships hosted by Southcity College last Friday. Well done to Keylin Vorster and Declan Lloyd on excellent performances. Declan was placed third in the 50m breaststroke, whilst Keylin took second place in the 50m freestyle event.
In closing the cricket season, the U13A team took part in a 6-a-side tournament hosted by Suid-Natal Primary last Saturday. The boys exceeded expectations and progressed to the finals. In a closely-contested final, PSSP eventually succumbed to Izotsha Primary. Well done to Michael Clifton who was named ‘best batsman’ of the tournament.
The extramural programme has finally drawn to an end with only volleyball games to look forward to at the annual volleyball knock-out tournament scheduled for this Saturday (14th) at the Marburg Sports Complex. Pupils and teachers are now focused on final assessments of the term which commence this Friday (13th) and parents are once again encouraged to support pupils in their home study programmes.
