FOUR Port Shepstone Senior Primary pupils took part in the KZN primary schools’ athletics championships at Kings Park Stadium in Durban last week and although the competition was tough, the athletes did extremely well and made the finals for their events.
Well done to Le’mard Pillay who achieved KZN colours and was placed second in the boys’ U12 100m event, walking away with a silver medal. Amahle Mchunu took third place in the U11 girls’ 100m event and was awarded a bronze medal.
The volleyball tournament scheduled for last weekend was cancelled because of rain and the new dates for games are April 18 and May 9.
The parent component of the SGB elections scheduled for last week did not take place and has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, March 25. As there is no quorum necessary for the new date, elections will definitely go ahead. Parents are urged to attend this important election meeting.
