SOUTHCITY Pre-primary pupils received first-hand experience with some of the farm animals they have been learning about when visiting Fiddlewood Farm last Friday. The owl and eagle classes ventured into a forest over a balancing pole bridge to the dam and had a lot of fun. These smaller pupils have benefited greatly from the school’s excellent swimming lessons and are now able to ‘swim’ in the big pool.
The college first teams took part in the Scottburgh sports tournament held last Saturday. The rugby team won 8-0 against Werda and the netball girls narrowly lost to Toti, Kingsway and DBN North College.
The first hockey team won 1-0 against Suid-Natal High, lost 0-1 against Kuswag and drew 0-0 against Kingsway, with only 10 players on the field.
