PSSec answers Madiba’s call

PORT Shepstone Secondary pupils were treated to an enjoyable and informative programme last Friday, which highlighted the call made by Nelson Mandela to give up 67 minutes to provide a service to the underprivileged.

The school was a hive of activity with projects, including the planting of a sustainable vegetable garden and indigenous flowers by some teachers and pupils. Others engaged in fund-raisers like selling food, paying a ‘tekkie tax’ or spraying their hair with a grey streak like Madiba’s.

Many pupils very kindly donated cans of food, clothes, warm blankets and books. Heartfelt thanks are extended to all involved for their sacrifices, with special thanks to all sponsors for their kind and generous support.
