Village Eagles golf on cool morning in Umkomaas
The next game will be played on September 20.
The Village Eagles Golf Club played at the Umkomaas Golf Course on August 4.
The course was in good condition – thanks to all the staff.
There were 48 players in attendance on a lovely cool morning. The lost ball count was a low 16, and the prize went to Graham Coxell for his estimate, which was the closest.

Best Lady was Stella Scott with 43 individual points, and Ronnie Brett, on a count-out with Carl Mau took the men’s prize on 42 points. The winners on the day were Fanie de Jager, Rick St John, Colin Phillips-Bryant and Carl Mau on an alliance score of 95 points.

The longest day and collecting the Stones Trophy were Robert Symonds, Rob Bowman, Ab Eyres and Denis Middlemiss on 77 points.
Results were calculated by Stan Sim and Pat White. Pat White presented the results, and this went without a hitch. On the fines side, Rob Symons was the master and this was well supported.

The Eagles thank all sponsors for making this an enjoyable day. The next game will be held at the Charity Game at Umdoni Park Golf Club on September 20. See you all there.
