Update: Man arrested for murdering holidaymaker

THABO Sukude (31) appeared at the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court last week for the murder last month of Cape Town holidaymaker, Anton Nicholas Els (56). The case was postponed.

On July 13, police were called to Wild Sea Cabanas in Ramsey Avenue, Port Edward, where they found Mr Els’s decomposed body. He had been stabbed multiple times in the upper body.

Major Thulani Zwane said Sukude was tracked down after an intensive police investigation.  “He was found in possession of Mr Els’s cellphone. Another suspect is still at large and the motive for the killing is unknown.”
