5-year-old critically injured after school taxi-truck crash

Emergency crews rushed to a school taxi crash near Marburg just after 07:00.

A school taxi carrying children and a truck collided near the BP garage in Marburg just after 07:00 this morning.

Multiple emergency services were on the scene, with several ambulances attending to those involved.

Trauma 911 confirmed that a five-year-old child was critically injured in the crash and was transported to Port Shepstone Provincial Hospital for further treatment.

“The rest of the children in the taxi had minor injuries,” confirmed the ambulance service.
