Mystery man’s murderer sentenced

His co-accused was acquitted of all charges.

STEPHEN Barnard, who pleaded guilty to the murder of a yet-to-be-identified man on the N2, was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by the Izingolweni Magistrate’s Court this week.

His co-accused Dirk Pretorius was acquitted of all charges.

The man was discovered with multiple stab wounds in the neck and back on the national road at Wilson’s Cutting on May 24.
