Update: Arson suspected in Hibberdene fire
It is believed that the owner of the house had an argument with a relative.
HIBBERDENE police are investigating a case of arson after a house went up in flames in Hibberdene yesterday (Monday) morning.
It is alleged that the owner of the house in Leisuredene had had an argument with a relative at about 10.30am.
“The relative apparently swore at the owner, and threatened him,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
“The home owner then left to go shopping and when he returned, he found his house ablaze.”
No arrest has been made as yet.
