RAMSGATE Crime Prevention Forum reports that a number of housebreakings and thefts took place in the Ramsgate area last week.
Incidents were reported from Julia Road, Ray Road, Bidstone Road, Beaumont Drive, Charles Adams Road, Buck Drive, Andries Pretorius Road and Shore Road, Clothing was stolen from a washing line in Pioneer Road. Items stolen include a flat screen television, cellphones, a gate motor, a laptop, a dvd player, clothing, iPods, jewellery, toiletries and a Playstation and joystick.
The good news is that six arrests were made last week. Two of those arrested were charged with being in possession of stolen property, three were charged with housebreaking and theft and being in possession of stolen property and one person was charged with theft.
The forum asks residents to report any loiterers or any suspicious or unusual activities.
