A DUPLICATE key is thought to be have been used in a house robbery in Extension 7 in Margate during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka said the resident (53) ensured that she closed the windows and locked the doors before she went to sleep that evening.
However she woke up at 1.40am and noticed that some of their property had been stolen, although there was no sign of forced entry.
“She suspected that the only way it could have been done was using a duplicate key,” said Capt Mfeka.
No arrests have been made so far, and police are investigating.
