A WOMAN (63) was robbed of cash and a cellphone at her house in Peter Road, Uvongo by an intruder yesterday (Wednesday).
Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said that at about midday the woman went to the kitchen and saw a man near the fridge.
“He pointed a firearm at her and demanded the cash and cellphone. He was wearing an orange T-shirt and dark jersey and was skinny,” said Lt-Col Wiid.
The man fled without hurting her. It is believed that he had unscrewed a burglar guard on the far side of the house and climbed through the open window.
A case of house robbery is being investigated by Margate police.
