Justice for victim of rape and robbery

A MUNSTER woman can sleep a little easier now that her rapists were sent to prison recently have been jailed.
Mchwanah Thulebone Mpisana (27) and Mbhulbey Mthuli (26) were found guilty of rape and robbery.
The 25-year-old victim was on her way to work on the morning of January 19 when she was accosted by the two men. They forced her into the bushes along the R61 National Road in Munster, threatening her with a knife and wheel spanner.
She was raped and robbed of her personal belongings, including two cellphones and cash.
Three days later, on January 22, the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Jabulani Nzimakwe, acted on information and arrested both men and recovered the stolen items.
They were sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment each for the robbery and each received a life sentence for the rape.
