Bread truck robbed, driver stabbed

The truck was later found abandoned.

A TRUCK driver delivering bread to Gcilima near Southbroom last Friday was robbed by four men.

Police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka, said the driver and his assistant were approached by four foreign nationals.

“They men held up the driver and his assistant at gun point and took their cellphones and cash. They then placed the two men in the back of the vehicle and drove off.

“The driver and his assistant were instructed to jump out of the vehicle, before one of the men produced an knife and the driver was stabbed,” said Capt Mfeka.

The men fled in the truck which was later found abandoned in Gcilima.
