Tackle the first day back at school successfully

Reduce stress by preparing a few days before.

AFTER sleeping in all December holiday, the sound of the alarm clock on the first day back to school is a rude awakening.

Children are bracing themselves for a long day of new classes, new teachers and new schedules.

Nevertheless, there are some ways to beat these first day blues.

  • Make sure school bags are packed properly the day before.
  • Help start their academic year right from day one and try not to leave anything to the last minute.
  • Check and make sure all school supplies are ticked off your stationery list.
  • It’s also good idea to let your little ones try on their school uniform a few days before, in case alterations are needed.
  • Eat a decent breakfast, whether it’s oats, toast or fruit.

The first day is the start of a new journey for your children to continue learning and growing.
