Jai Hind knuckles down to work

All parents are urged to purchase swimming costumes and caps for their children.

JAI HIND Primary has eased into the new year with all academic, cultural and sporting programmes receiving top priority. In the current extremely hot weather, swimming has become very popular and all parents are urged to purchase swimming costumes and caps for their children. Swimming forms part of the life skills and life orientation curriculum and pupils will be assessed.

With the increased volume of morning and afternoon traffic at the school gates, pupils need to exercise caution when crossing the road. Parents are advised to assist their children crossing the road and instructions from the scholar patrol must be obeyed in the interest of road safety. Smaller pupils have a tendency to lose their belongings and all items must be clearly labelled. The first overnight excursion of 2016 will be a visit to Teen Ranch in Port Edward by peer leaders this Thursday and Friday.
