Rotary district governor visits

Clubs were urged to continue supplying service and support to their communities.

LOCAL Rotarians were pleased to welcome their district governor, Tom McGhee and assistant district governor, Gavin Jepson at their Uvongo clubhouse on Tuesday this week.

The gathering included members of clubs within the Rotary District 9370. This is the district in which the South Coast Rotarians operate. It consisted of Rotary Clubs of Port Shepstone, Shelly Beach, Hibiscus Coast (combining Margate and Uvongo) and the Rotary Satellite Club of Hibiscus Coast – South, based in Southbroom.

The district governor commended several Rotarians for their unselfish efforts in community service projects and those who had assisted the club on an ongoing basis with various projects, freely giving of their time and effort. The district governor was extremely pleased with the clubs’ efforts and achievements overall and wished them well for the future.
