PORT Shepstone detectives are urgently seeking  two men who may have valuable information regarding a case of theft.

Four men broke into a parked vehicle at a shopping centre in Port Shepstone on December 23 and stole a bag containing a large sum of cash.

The men sped off in a silver Polo with an ND registration plate.

“Investigations reveal the complainant was followed from the bank to the store by four men, who then broke into the  car,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Constable Rouen Govender at  039 6881093 or 076 4655552.

“You are urged to be constantly on the alert for suspicious persons when conducting banking transactions. Avoid carrying money bags, briefcases or openly displaying your deposit receipt book. Consider electronic transfers and alternate the days on which you deposit or withdraw cash.

“Never make your bank visits public, even to people who may be close to you. Never leave large sums of cash or valuables in your unattended vehicle and where possible, refrain from driving to the bank in your company branded vehicle on a typical payday,” said Lt-Col Wiid.
