PSSP U13 team gets a good start

The cricket season is in full swing with a number of matches played last week.

PSSP’s U13A team won against Suid-Natal Primary by seven wickets. Well done to star batsmen Ben ‘Junior’ Malamba and Similo Zulu, as well as Micah Naidoo and Declan Lloyd, who took five and three wickets respectively. The U13B team faced much stronger opposition and after chasing SNP’s score of 80 runs, only managed 70 runs for six. The two junior teams are still ‘finding their feet’ and although both were defeated by SNP, they are determined to improve in upcoming matches.

Congratulations to Lemard Pillay, Sanele Shoba, Iman Khan, Amahle Mchunu, Cade Woodenburg and Kumelendibonge Ndlela, who took part in the circuit athletic trials held at the Marburg Sports Complex last Friday and qualified for the next round.

The school was saddened to hear of the untimely death of former SGB member Shaun Govender. He was a well-known lawyer and a much-loved and popular member of the community. The SGB, staff and pupils extend condolences to his family.
