Teen stabs bully to death

A pupil demanded R5 from his classmate for gambling.

APPARENTLY fed-up with being bullied, a 17-year-old schoolboy from Nkothaneni Location, near Margate, allegedly stabbed a fellow pupil to death last Friday.

“During one of the breaks at Mashesha High, a 21-year-old pupil demanded R5 from the teenager for gambling,” said police spokesman, Captain Gerald Mfeka.

The boys fought and were separated by other pupils.

However, after school, the teenager went home, armed himself with a knife and waited for the ‘bully‘ to pass his house.

He confronted him near a bus stop and allegedly stabbed him in the chest.

The pupil died at the scene. The teenager, who can not be named as he is a juvenile, appeared in the Ramsgate Court on Monday this week, charged with murder. The case was postponed to this Friday for a probation of the officer’s report.

Investigations are continuing.
